Substitute Custodians

Location:  All CEO facility locations

Classification:  Non-Exempt

CEO is seeking substitute custodians for all of our CEO facilities located throughout Rensselaer County.  This is an on-call position working at multiple childcare centers and administrative offices.

Responsibilities:  Responsibilities to include sweeping/vacuuming, mopping; garbage removal; performing minor maintenance requests; assisting in performing outside maintenance and landscaping as needed, to include snow removal and lawn care; assisting with special projects as needed, to include carpet cleaning, buffing/waxing floors and painting. 

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and previous experience in facilities maintenance and custodial duties.  Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.

Custodian

Location:  Lansingburgh, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Custodian at our Lansingburgh Family Resource Center.  This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  Responsible for maintaining the internal and external cleanliness of CEO’s Lansingburgh Family Resource Center.  Responsibilities include sweeping/vacuuming, mopping; garbage removal; performing minor maintenance requests; assisting in performing outside maintenance and landscaping as needed, to include snow removal and lawn care; assisting with special projects as needed, to include carpet cleaning, buffing/waxing floors and painting.

 Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.  Must possess the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.  Previous work experience that demonstrates flexibility, ability to work with little supervision, and consistently follow an established routine. Experience working as a custodian or janitor.  Previous experience with carpentry, and plumbing a plus.  Valid driver’s license required.

Toddler Teacher (Rensselaer)

Location: Rensselaer, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Toddler Teacher at our Rensselaer Family Resource Center. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities: Promote children’s development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior. Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the center. Work collaboratively with the co-teacher and service providers.

Qualifications: AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA required. Must possess knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Universal Pre-K Teacher (School 12)

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO is looking for a NYS Certified Teacher for a Universal Pre-Kindergarten classroom located at School 12, Troy City School District.  This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and follows a 10 month school year calendar.

Responsibilities:  Candidate will be responsible to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children, meeting UPK School District requirements (including Common Core Standards) while working collaboratively with the teacher assistant, School District staff, and service providers.

Qualifications:  A New York State certification in Birth through 2nd Grade, or Pre-K through 6th Grade, a baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-age children.

Community Health Worker

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO’s Community Health Project has a full-time opening for a Community Health Worker.  This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: The Community Health Worker will identify barriers that prevent members from successfully receiving health care services and provide guidance in those areas. In addition, the Community Health Worker will track and report on each member’s progress while in the program by utilizing program specific forms and spreadsheets. The Community Health Worker will take part in outreach and recruitment as well as planning and attending community events throughout the year.

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree plus applicable experience providing service Coordination and/or Case Management. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required, HIPAA and established confidentiality practices associated with health care preferred.  Valid and clean NYS driver’s license required.

Administrative Assistant

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the Program Operations Department and its Healthy Homes Program.  This position is 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:  This position will be responsible to perform a broad variety of administrative tasks to support the Program Operations Director and Healthy Homes Manager.  Duties include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls, meeting minute documentation, interagency mail collection/distribution, and client intake and processing of applications.  Candidate will also be responsible to create and organize files with proper documentation and labeling.  As well as, data entry into spreadsheets and general assistance to program managers for purchase orders, vendor ordering, inventory control and maintenance of company vehicles.

Qualifications: High School Diploma plus prior experience in data entry with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.  Knowledge of building/construction fields a plus.  Valid driver’s license required.

CEO’s Lansingburgh Family Resource Center has an opening for a full-time Universal Pre-K Teacher Assistant.  This position operates on a 10 month school year calendar, and is Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:  To assist in all classroom activities with children.  Promote children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.

Dietary Aide (Temporary)

Location:  Lansingburgh, NY

CEO is seeking a temporary full-time Dietary Aide for our Head Start/Early Head Start Program at our Lansingburgh Family Resource Center.  This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  Candidate will be responsible for the distribution of breakfast, snacks and lunches to twelve classrooms.  This position is also responsible for kitchen maintenance and dishwashing.

Qualifications:  High school diploma, GED or training in Culinary Arts.  Prior experience in a kitchen setting.

Substitute Teacher Assistants

Location:  All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations

Classification:  Non-Exempt

CEO is seeking Substitute Teacher Assistants for our Early Childhood facilities located throughout Rensselaer Country. This is an on-call position.

Responsibilities:  To work on an on-call basis, assisting teachers with classroom management in infant, toddler and preschool setting.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten Teacher (Temporary)
