Universal Pre-K Teachers (Troy, NY)

Title: Universal Pre-K Teacher

Salary: $17.00/hour

Location: Troy & Lansingburgh

CEO is seeking New York State certified teaching candidates for Universal Pre-Kindergarten Head Start classrooms at the following locations:

Lansingburgh Family Resource Center, Troy – 35 hours, 10 month position

Troy City School District, Troy – 35 hours, 10 month position

Troy City School District, Troy – 37.5 hours, 10 month position

Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children, meeting UPK School District requirements (including Common Core Standards) while working collaboratively with the teacher assistant, School District staff, and service providers.

Qualifications: A New York State certification in Birth thru 2nd Grade, or Pre-K thru 6th Grade, a baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-age children.

SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant

Title:  Substitute Teacher Assistant

Location:  All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations

Salary:  $9.00 / hour

Classification:  Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:  Work on an on-call basis.  Assist teachers with classroom management in infant, toddler and preschool setting.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and previous experience working with children.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

EHS Toddler Teacher (HFFRC)

Title: Early Head Start (Toddler) Teacher
Location: Hoosick Falls, NY
Salary: $12.00 – $15.00 / hour

CEO has an opening for a full-time Toddler Teacher at our Hoosick Falls Family Resource Center.

Responsibilities: Promote children’s development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior. Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the center. Work collaboratively with the co-teacher and service providers. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, and follows a 49 week classroom schedule.

Qualifications: AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA required. Must possess knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for home visits required.

Community Services Manager

Title: Community Services Manager

CEO is looking for a Community Services Manager. The candidate will oversee multiple community service programs that CEO offers. This position will be responsible to perform a wide range of administrative and program oversight responsibilities, including but not limited to providing direct services, staff supervision, monitoring of service delivery, community engagement, outreach, program development and growth, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and project deliverables.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and at least 2 years of experience directly managing staff in the progressive development of programs and services to the community.

Substitute Custodian

Title: Substitute Custodian

Location: All CEO facility locations

Salary: $10.00 / hour

Classification: Non-Exempt

CEO is seeking substitute custodians for all our CEO facilities located throughout Rensselaer County.

Responsibilities: Responsible to work on an on-call basis for multiple childcare centers and administrative offices. Responsibilities include sweeping/vacuuming, mopping; garbage removal; performing minor maintenance requests as requested; assisting in performing outside maintenance and landscaping as needed, to include snow removal and lawn care; assisting with special projects as needed, to include carpet cleaning, buffing/waxing floors and painting.

Qualifications: Previous experience in facilities maintenance and custodial duties. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.

Cook (Schodack FRC)

Title: Cook

Location: Nassau/Schodack

Salary: $11.00 / hour

CEO has an opening for a Cook at our Schodack Family Resource Center.

Responsibilities: Plan and prepare appropriate breakfast and lunch for a center with four classrooms. Meals must be served in accordance with CACFP regulations. This position is responsible for placing weekly food orders, as well as labeling, dating, and maintaining proper inventory and storage of all items. Responsibilities also include maintaining the organization and cleanliness of kitchen facilities, completing all required written documentation and assisting with the planning and implementation of any nutrition-related activities for center and classroom events.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and at least one year experience with food preparation in a full service kitchen. Ability to read, write and complete basic math as well as computer literacy. Ability to obtain ServSafe certification.

Preferred qualifications: Degree or certification in Culinary Arts, ServSafe certification, specific experience in child food service preparation, prior catering experience.
