Construction Crew Member

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Crew Member for our Healthy Homes Program.

Responsibilities:  Installation of energy efficient retrofits from a designated work scope.  Installation of insulation materials, spray foam and air sealing measures.  Ability to lift and load construction materials.  Working knowledge of basic carpentry skills and use of hand tools.  Ability to take direction and work independently.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years working in residential construction and a clean NYS Driver’s license.

Foster Grandparent Program Assistant

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Foster Grandparent Program Assistant. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  The candidate will provide administrative and office management support for the Foster Grandparent Program.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to screening incoming calls and mail, file maintenance; assisting with volunteer trainings and events, and providing support services to program volunteers.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience. Valid New York State Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle is required. Excellent attention to detail and organization and communication skills required. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.

Preferred:  Associates Degree in Business or Office Administration or a related field and experience working with the older adult population is preferred.

Foster Grandparent Program Coordinator

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO is looking for a Foster Grandparent Coordinator to oversee the Foster Grandparent Program. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the supervision of staff, recruitment and placement of senior volunteers into educational settings, reporting, conducting site visits within four counties and planning events for senior volunteer recognition.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field; 3 years of previous supervisory experience.  Previous case management experience and a clean driver’s license required.

Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.

Teacher Assistant (Rensselaer)

Location:  Rensselaer, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Teacher Assistant. This position is located within a school district Universal Pre-K classroom in Rensselaer. Position operates on a 10 month school calendar, and is Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:  To assist in all classroom activities with children.  Promote children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior. This position is required to serve as a bus monitor for the afternoon bus run. Monitor duties include riding the bus and assisting with the drop off of children.

Please note: CEO facilitates Child Development Associate (CDA) courses on-site for selected candidates, who are required to obtain a CDA Credential within their first year of employment.

Energy Auditor

CEO has an opening for a full-time Energy Auditor for our Healthy Homes Program. Healthy Homes focuses on helping families and individuals maintain safe and comfortable housing with energy efficiency and home improvement upgrades. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for home energy audits in a residential property setting and conducting building analysis by gathering energy related findings. Use of testing equipment to include combustion analyzer, blower door, gas leak detector, infrared camera, to prepare audit reports and work scopes for cost effective repairs to residential homes. The home repairs range from insulation to air sealing of the home for energy conservation purposes.  The Energy Auditor will assist with directing and overseeing subcontractors, crew assignments, and work orders. Candidate will also be responsible to comply with program guidelines and data entry into related software.  Responsibilities also include conducting post and Quality Control Inspections (QCI) of completed work to ensure compliance with program specifications.

Candidate will be required to obtain specified certifications (employer sponsored).

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent, two years experience in building construction or equivalent academic training. Ability to communicate both written and verbal, computer literacy, ability to travel to complete certification courses and clean NYS Driver’s license.

Preferred:  BPI certifications (Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Manufactured Home and Quality Control Inspector).

 

 

Community Connections Specialist

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO is seeking a Community Connections Specialist.  This position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  The Community Connections Coordinator will work with a variety of programs within CEO. This position will be responsible to perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to direct service to customers, community engagement and outreach, and coordinating volunteer and intern placement within CEO.

Qualifications:  Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of direct service or outreach experience, excellent written and communication skills, exceptional organization skills and highly detail oriented. Valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred:  Associates in Human Services or related field preferred, 4 plus years of direct service or outreach experience.

Housing Administrative Assistant

CEO has an opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant for our Healthy Homes Program. Healthy Homes focuses on helping families and individuals maintain safe and comfortable housing with energy efficiency and home improvement upgrades. This position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to answering phone calls, client intake and processing of applications. Candidate will also be responsible to create and organize customer files with proper documentation and labeling. As well as, data entry of information into spreadsheets and general assistance to program managers for purchase orders, vendor ordering, inventory control and maintenance of company vehicles.

Qualifications: High School Diploma plus prior experience in data entry with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of building/construction fields a plus.  Valid driver’s license required.

 

Teacher Assistants

CEO has openings for part-time and full-time Teacher Assistants for our Head Start/Early Head Start Program at the following locations:

Troy Family Resource Center, Troy – 35 hours, 10 month position

Lansingburgh Family Resource Center, Lansingburgh – 40 hours, 12 month position

WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor

Location: Troy, NY

CEO is seeking a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for our WIC program. This position is approximately 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:  The WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor will provide education and support to prenatal and breastfeeding mothers who are currently participating in the program.

Qualifications:  Must have participated or is currently participating in the WIC Program. Has had experience breastfeeding (at least one baby) and is willing to provide assistance to breastfeeding mothers for a positive and joyful experience.

Early Head Start Home Visitor

Location: Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Early Head Start Home Visitor at our Community Resource Center. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: The Home Visitor will be responsible for maintaining a caseload of 8 EHS children and will provide 90 minute weekly home visits to each child/family. Responsibilities also include recruiting children for the Early Head Start Program; working with their families on goal planning; completing strengths and needs assessments; providing community referrals and resources; planning and conducting two socializations per month; and ensuring that all Head Start Performance Standards are met and implemented.

Qualifications: AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA required. Must possess knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for home visits required.

Please note: By August 1st, 2018 the candidate for this position will need to attain their Home Visitor CDA or Family Development Credential (FDC). The candidate will be assisted in attaining either one of these credentials by the program.

Family Advocate

Location: Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Family Advocate for our Head Start/Early Head Start Program at our Community Resource Center. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: Candidate will act as an advocate for Early Head Start and Head Start families whose children are presently enrolled in the program. Candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development of goal plans for participating families, for promoting self-sufficiency and working with the families to help them succeed in their goals. Candidate must have the ability to form therapeutic relationships with children and families from diverse ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds. In addition, candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate and work effectively with a multi-service agency.  Visiting families in their homes or a mutually agreed upon location will be part of the responsibilities as well.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of experience in a social work capacity in providing services to children and families. Valid and clean driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.

Preferred: AAS or BA in Human Services or related field. Knowledge of community resources and referral experience assisting families in need of services. Bilingual a plus!

Youth Empowerment Coordinator

CEO has an opening for a full-time Youth Empowerment Coordinator at Troy Middle School. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: The Youth Empowerment Coordinator will work with middle school students participating in the 21st Century Program at Troy Middle School. The candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group mentoring to participants. Other duties include organizing and planning parent engagement activities and assisting students and families with educational, medical and community needs. This position will also be responsible for a variety of duties which include data collection and tracking.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in human services field or related degree, and relevant experience working with families in a school /community setting. Must possess the ability to provide basic mentoring to students. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required. Clean NYS Driver’s license required.

 

 

Breastfeeding Peer Counselor

Location: Troy, NY

Classification: Non-Exempt

CEO is a seeking a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for our Baby Café program. The Baby Café program provides a safe and supportive environment for breastfeeding mothers. This position is approximately 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:  The Breastfeeding Peer Counselor will provide support and counseling for breastfeeding women. As such, candidate will provide one on one and/or group session support to breastfeeding women during hours of operation. In addition to this, candidate will perform outreach activities to promote the Baby Café program and provide referrals (as needed).

Qualifications:  Has had experience breastfeeding (at least one baby) and/or is a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) and is willing to provide assistance to breastfeeding mothers for a positive and joyful experience.

Program Assistant

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Program Assistant at our Community Resource Center.  This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: This position involves greeting visitors, customers and employees at our Community Resource Center in a fast-paced environment.  The program assistant will provide reception duties, maintain database updates and provide general administrative support to Center Manager.  Other responsibilities may include classroom coverage in a Head Start childcare center.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent, plus experience as administrative assistant required.  Candidate should be organized and detail-oriented with strong computer skills.  Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and OCFS regulations preferred.

Grants Writer

CEO is seeking an innovative and detail oriented individual to identify, write and submit grant proposals to fund agency programs. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  This individual will play a lead role in the identification and selection of new grant opportunities and the management of existing grants. Will support the senior management team with contract execution deliverables and will lead and conduct the annual Community Needs Assessment activities. The successful candidate will have a proven work history with grant writing and knowledge of grant and fundraising sources, as well as strategies for researching and securing new opportunities.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Public Administration or related field with direct experience in successful grant awards, and related work in a deadline driven environment.

Substitute Teacher Assistants

CEO is seeking Substitute Teacher Assistants for our Early Childhood facilities located throughout Rensselaer Country. This is an on-call position.

CEO is seeking a full-time Toddler Teacher for our Early Head Start program at our Schodack Family Resource Center.

Schodack Family Resource Center (Toddler Teacher), Nassau – 35 hours, 49 week position

Responsibilities: Promote children’s development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.  Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the center.  Work collaboratively with the co-teacher and service providers.

Qualifications: AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA required. Must possess knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction.
