SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant

Title:  Substitute Teacher Assistant

Location:  All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations

Salary:  $8.75 / hour

Classification:  Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:  Work on an on-call basis.  Assist teachers with classroom management in infant, toddler and preschool setting.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and previous experience working with children.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preschool Teacher Assistant (Hoosick Falls, NY)

Title:  Preschool Teacher Assistant

Location:  Hoosick Falls, NY

Salary:  $10.00 / hour

Classification:  Non-Exempt

CEO has an opening for a full-time Preschool Teacher Assistant for our Hoosick Falls Family Resource Center.

Responsibilities:  To assist the teacher with classroom management in a preschool setting. Promote children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.

** Selected candidate will be required to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential within 1 year

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pre-Employment Requirement:  Please note that applicants for certain positions may be required to complete standard background clearances, which may include fingerprints, New York State Child Abuse clearances, a physical, TB Test, and / or pre-employment drug screen.
