Construction Crew Member
Location: Troy, NY
CEO has an opening for a full-time Crew Member for our Healthy Homes Program.
Responsibilities: Installation of energy efficient retrofits from a designated work scope. Installation of insulation materials, spray foam and air sealing measures. Ability to lift and load construction materials. Working knowledge of basic carpentry skills and use of hand tools. Ability to take direction and work independently.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years working in residential construction and a clean NYS Driver’s license.
Universal Pre-Kindergarten Teachers
Location: Troy, NY
CEO is seeking New York State certified teaching candidates for Universal Pre-Kindergarten Head Start classrooms for the 2017-2018 school year.
Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children, meeting UPK School District requirements (including Common Core Standards) while working collaboratively with the teacher assistant, School District staff, and service providers.
Minimum qualifications: A baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-age children and ability to obtain NYS Pre-K teaching certification.
Preferred: NYS Pre-K teaching certification and experience working with pre-school aged children.
Youth Peer Advocate
Location: Troy, NY
CEO is seeking a young adult (between the ages 18 and 30) to function as a member of a team and deliver youth peer support and training services to other young adults. Youth peer support and training services are formal and informal services provided to youth who are experiencing social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges in their home, school, placement, and/or community centered programs. These services provide the training and support necessary for the youth to engage and actively participate in their service/treatment planning process and with the ongoing implementation and reinforcement of skills learned throughout service access.
Please note: Candidates must have or be eligible to obtain a Youth Peer Advocate Credential. To obtain the Youth Peer Advocate Credential the qualified individual must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and be a young adult who has had emotional and/or behavioral challenges as well as experience in receiving services from one or more children’s mental health providers or programs.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent with knowledge of community resources. Strong sensitivity and respect for cultural differences present among staff and customers of the agency and program. Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills. Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change and to form a strong partnership with persons served and their family. Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook a plus. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
Location: All CEO facility locations
CEO is seeking substitute custodians for all of our CEO facilities located throughout Rensselaer County. This is an on-call position working at multiple childcare centers and administrative offices.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities to include sweeping/vacuuming, mopping; garbage removal; performing minor maintenance requests; assisting in performing outside maintenance and landscaping as needed, to include snow removal and lawn care; assisting with special projects as needed, to include carpet cleaning, buffing/waxing floors and painting.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and previous experience in facilities maintenance and custodial duties. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.
Construction Crew Chief
Location: Troy, NY
CEO has an opening for a full-time Construction Crew Chief for our Healthy Homes Program. Healthy Homes focuses on helping families and individuals maintain safe and comfortable housing with energy efficiency and home improvement upgrades. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities: Daily supervision of construction crew members. Perform weatherization techniques that ensure greater energy efficiency for each unit serviced, up to and including installation/repair of windows and doors, blown-in insulation and air sealing measures. Strong organizational skills required to document all aspects of a project, such as the materials utilized and the monitoring of equipment. Ability to problem solve issues that may arise, ultimately ensuring the proper completion of work scopes.
Candidate will be required to obtain specified certifications (employer sponsored).
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, three years of residential construction experience (i.e. installing windows, doors and finish work). Two years supervisory experience and ability to travel to complete certification courses. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand tools. Clean NYS Driver’s license required. BPI certification a plus.
Community Connections Specialist
Location: Troy, NY
CEO is seeking a Community Connections Specialist. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities: The Community Connections Specialist will work with a variety of programs within CEO. This position will be responsible to perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to direct service to customers, community engagement and outreach, and coordinating volunteer and intern placement within CEO.
Qualifications: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of direct service or outreach experience, excellent written and communication skills, exceptional organization skills and highly detail oriented. Valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred: Associates in Human Services or related field preferred, 4 plus years of direct service or outreach experience.
Substitute Teacher Assistants
Location: All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations
CEO is seeking Substitute Teacher Assistants for our Early Childhood facilities located throughout Rensselaer Country. This is an on-call position.
Responsibilities: To work on an on-call basis, assisting teachers with classroom management in infant, toddler and preschool setting.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
