Early Head Start (Toddler) Teacher
Title: Early Head Start (Toddler) Teacher
Location: Rensselaer, NY
Salary: $11.00 – $13.50 / hour
CEO has an opening for a full-time Toddler Teacher at our Rensselaer Family Resource Center.
Responsibilities: Full-time opportunity that follows a 10 month school calendar schedule and a summer program. Responsible to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities, work collaboratively with a co-teacher, center staff and service providers.
Qualifications: AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA required. Must possess knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for home visits required.
SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant
Title: SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant
Location: All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations
Responsibilities: To work on an on-call basis. Will assist teachers with classroom management in childcare/preschool setting within CEO’s daycare centers.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preschool Teacher (Daycare)
Title: Preschool Teacher (Daycare)
Location: North Greenbush, NY
Salary: $10.00 – $12.00 / hour
CEO has an opening for a full-time Preschool Teacher at our Stepping Stones II Daycare facility.
Responsibilities: Promote children’s development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect appropriate classroom behavior. Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the center.
Qualifications: A.A.S. or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or High School Education and CDA, plus experience working with preschool children.
Title: Facilities Technician
Location: Troy, NY
Responsibilities: Full-time Facilities Technician will assist in the overall building maintenance and supervision of custodial staff at multiple agency locations throughout Rensselaer County. Center-based custodial staff will report to the Facilities Technician for supply needs, building concerns, and for scheduling time off. Candidate will be responsible for a variety of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling and custodial functions, potentially at different sites each day. Candidate will be responsible to maintain agency equipment such as servicing lawn mowers, snow blowers, as well as battery maintenance on equipment. Candidate will also be responsible for seasonal grounds keeping at multiple locations.
Qualifications: High school education and a minimum of five years on-the-job building construction experience or equivalent academic training. Strong mechanical aptitudes and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, should the need arise, to meet building maintenance and alarm needs after normal operating hours. Must be computer literate. BPI certification a plus. Daily access to a vehicle and a valid NYS Driver’s License.
Community Health Project Worker
Title: Community Health Project Worker
Location: Troy, NY
Salary: $15.00 / hour
CEO has an opening for a full-time Community Health Project Worker in Troy, NY.
Responsibilities: Provide outreach and case management to customers with identified health care needs. The position will provide information and support services to customers who are experiencing barriers with accessing health care system in the community.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in human services field or related degree; an Associate’s Degree plus applicable experience providing case coordination services; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Knowledge of HIPPA and established confidentiality practices associated with health care preferred.
