Construction Crew Member

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Crew Member for our Healthy Homes Program.

Responsibilities:  Installation of energy efficient retrofits from a designated work scope.  Installation of insulation materials, spray foam and air sealing measures.  Ability to lift and load construction materials.  Working knowledge of basic carpentry skills and use of hand tools.  Ability to take direction and work independently.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years working in residential construction and a clean NYS Driver’s license.

Preschool Teacher (Head Start)

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Preschool Teacher at our Troy Family Resource Center. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and follows a 10 month schedule.

Responsibilities:  Promote children’s development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum in an integrated classroom.  Work collaboratively with service providers and Special Education staff to provide children with age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.  Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the center.

Qualifications:  AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and previous experience working with children.  Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations preferred.

Youth Support Specialist

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Youth Support Specialist in our YouthBuild program. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  Candidate will provide supportive services to program participants necessary to remove barriers to program success. Will ensure comprehensive service delivery to assist members with accessing necessary medical, social, psychosocial, and other services in accordance with the individual assessment and goal plans, or in crisis situations, as needed. Will maintain and update all documentation pertaining to case management services in a database and member files including verification of eligibility, progress notes, etc. in an accurate and timely manner. Candidate will participate in monthly case conference meetings to ensure coordination of services as they pertain to program success and outcomes. The potential candidate must maintain current knowledge of community resources to provide advocacy, linkage and referral services to participants.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or a relevant combination of education and work experience providing case management services. Valid driver license is required.

 

 

Foster Grandparent Program Assistant

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Foster Grandparent Program Assistant. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:  The candidate will provide administrative and office management support for the Foster Grandparent Program.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to screening incoming calls and mail, file maintenance; assisting with volunteer trainings and events, and providing support services to program volunteers.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience. Valid New York State Driver’s License and daily access to a personal vehicle is required. Excellent attention to detail and organization and communication skills required. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.

Preferred:  Associates Degree in Business or Office Administration or a related field and experience working with the older adult population is preferred.

Foster Grandparent Program Coordinator

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO is looking for a Foster Grandparent Coordinator to oversee the Foster Grandparent Program. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the supervision of staff, recruitment and placement of senior volunteers into educational settings, reporting, conducting site visits within four counties and planning events for senior volunteer recognition.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field; 3 years of previous supervisory experience.  Previous case management experience and a clean driver’s license required.

Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.

Teacher Assistant (Rensselaer)

CEO has an opening for a full-time Teacher Assistant. This position is located within a school district Universal Pre-K classroom in Rensselaer. Position operates on a 10 month school calendar, and is Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:  To assist in all classroom activities with children.  Promote children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior. This position is required to serve as a bus monitor for the afternoon bus run. Monitor duties include riding the bus and assisting with the drop off of children.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and previous experience working with young children.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Substitute Teacher Assistants

CEO is seeking Substitute Teacher Assistants for our Early Childhood facilities located throughout Rensselaer Country. This is an on-call position.

Location:  All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations

Classification:  Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:  To work on an on-call basis, assisting teachers with classroom management in infant, toddler and preschool setting.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten Teachers

CEO is seeking New York State certified teaching candidates for Universal Pre-Kindergarten Head Start classrooms at the following locations:

Lansingburgh Family Resource Center, Troy – 35 hours, 10 month position

Lansingburgh Family Resource Center, Troy – 35 hours, 10 month position (Maternity Leave)

Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children, meeting UPK School District requirements (including Common Core Standards) while working collaboratively with the teacher assistant, School District staff, and service providers.

Minimum qualifications: A baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-age children and ability to obtain NYS Pre-K teaching certification.

Preferred: NYS Pre-K teaching certification and experience working with pre-school aged children.

Toddler Teacher

CEO is seeking a full-time Toddler Teacher for our Early Head Start program at our Schodack Family Resource Center.

Schodack Family Resource Center (Toddler Teacher), Nassau – 35 hours, 49 week position

Qualifications: AAS or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA required. Must possess knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for home visits required.

Construction Crew Chief

Location:  Troy, NY

CEO has an opening for a full-time Crew Chief for our Healthy Homes Program. CEO’s Healthy Homes services help families and individuals maintain safe and comfortable housing.  Energy efficiency and home improvement services focus on keeping homes affordable and safe.

Responsibilities: Supervision of the energy services crew members.  Perform weatherization techniques that ensure greater energy efficiency for each unit serviced, up to and including installation/repair of windows and doors, blown-in insulation and air sealing measures.  Strong organizational skills required to document all aspects of a project, such as the materials utilized and the monitoring of equipment.  Ability to problem solve issues that may arise, ultimately ensuring the proper completion of work scopes.

Candidate will be required to obtain specified certifications (employer sponsored).

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, three years of residential construction experience (i.e. installing windows, doors and finish work).  Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand tools.  Two years supervisory experience and ability to travel to complete certification courses.  Clean NYS Driver’s license required.  BPI certification a plus.

Vendor Liaison (WIC Vendor Management)

CEO has an opening for a full-time Vendor Liaison for our WIC Vendor Management Program located in Troy, NY. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

The WIC Vendor Management Program is responsible for monitoring and providing support to authorized vendors for compliance with all state/federal requirements as an authorized WIC vendor.

Responsibilities:  Responsibilities include vendor eligibility determination, field monitoring, vendor training, and performance evaluations. Candidate will provide overall support to vendors applying for and approved for participation in the New York State Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Business related field with 2 plus years of experience in a professional setting.  Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Suite.  Must demonstrate the ability to think critically and adapt to a changing environment.  Must have valid driver’s license; consistent local travel with occasional overnights required.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business related field with 1 plus years of experience in a professional environment. Multilingual a plus.
