CEO Wins Consulting Alliance’s Roadmap to Results Competition

Posted November 12, 2013

TROY, NY – NOVEMBER 8, 2013 – On October 29th, 2013, Consulting Alliance President Robert Braathe presented the Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) with a $24,000 award for pro bono consulting services, as part of the Consulting Alliance’s 2013 Roadmap to Results competition. CEO was among a number of local organizations that submitted applications.

“I’m delighted that the Consulting Alliance chose CEO as our recipient,” stated Robert Braathe. “Emily Cote and her colleagues put forth a strong proposal and statement of needs. We are excited to collaborate with CEO and to do what we can to assist them in their efforts.”

CEO is a human services agency with a long history of serving the high-risk, high-need populations of Rensselaer County. For almost 50 years, CEO has offered a number of services and programs that now include Head Start, WIC, a food pantry, and many others. However, as CEO’s 50th anniversary approaches, the agency is looking to update its brand to match its evolving vision for the future.

“It’s surprising to me how many people aren’t familiar with us,” said Emily Cote, Marketing and Communications Specialist for CEO. “We really want to change that! We’ve been around for a very long time and serve over 14,000 individuals and families each year. This is such a wonderful opportunity for us. We are optimistic that, with the help of the Consulting Alliance, we will be able to refresh our image and bring greater awareness to the work we do in the community.”
