CEO Raises over $41,000 to fund its upcoming Urban Training Center building project

TROY, NY – October 22, 2014 – CEO (Commission on Economic Opportunity) held its annual charitable fundraiser on Thursday, October 16th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy. The funds raised are being invested in the Urban Training Center building project, which will expand CEO’s YouthBuild Program and Healthy Homes services.

Hundreds turned out to participate and show their support. Guests sampled signature dishes from the area’s finest restaurants, participated in a silent auction, and were entertained with live music by Funk Evolution. John Rajter, Senior Vice President of KeyBank, served as the Honorary Chairperson for the evening.

“We were so happy with the turnout,” said Leah Carroll, Development Officer at CEO. “Our guests seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves, and in the end we raised over $41,000 to help fund a really important project. We are so thankful for our sponsors, community partners, participating restaurants, and everyone who came together to make this event a success.”

Ten local restaurants participated that evening, serving samples of their best menu offerings: The Rensselaer at the Hilton Garden Inn, B-Rad’s Bistro, Dinosaur BBQ, Broadway Café, The Eatery at Carol’s Place, El Mariachi, The Flying Chicken, Mazzone Hospitality, Old Daley Inn Catering Company, and Taste.
